Design Deliveries

• Typically, we split all design work into two stages: conceptual design and technical design. There could be further stages, such as workshop drawings, etc.

Concept design answers three questions:

• How the boat looks? – these are renderings, general arrangement drawings, sail plan, lines plan, midship section drawing
• Is the boat safe and feasible? – providing calculations of stability, weigths, performance, seakeeping, strength, etc.
• Data for cost estimation – by preliminary specifications of materials and equipment

Usually, our concept design consists of 20…30 design documents which are the preliminary drawings, calculations, specifications.

Concept design stage takes 30…60 working days till first presentation to the Client.

Our concept design is not just artistic pictures!

Technical design is intended for construction and certification. It can also include cutting files, design of molds, detailed interior design.

Usually, our technical design to CE-certification or to classification by a Classification Society consists of 150…200+ design documents which are the drawings, calculations, specifications, checklists.

Technical design stage takes 60…120 working days to complete.
